The College celebrated Library
Week between 6th and 11th February, 2017. The first day, by inaugurating the
library week, on 6th February 2017 the Fatima college library requested
department of sociology and social work to create awareness on library week and
library club. The department organized a rally with in the college campus.
Here, the students of department of sociology and social work marched towards
the library by holding the different kinds of pluk cards which narrates the
importance of using library and reading books. It was well received by the
fatimites. It was leaded by the Parai Students of the department by playing the
parai. After reaching the library, there the parai dance was performed by the
students which were witnessed by the college students and staff. At last, the library Club banner was handover
to the Vice Principal and to the Librarian, by the Sociology and Social Work
Department students.

During the Last day of the
Library week. The department of Sociology and Social work gave a Parai dance
and a street theater on the rules of the library, necessity of using the
library, and the different programmes offered by the college library for the students
benefit. It was a grand success and more than 1000 students got benefited out
of the program.
The Library Week was a great
learning experience for all the students in College. It reminded the students that
books are indeed a man’s best friend!
