                                     Report on Anandham - Police Well Being Programme

     The Orientation on “Anandham” - Police Well Being   Programme for the Family Members and Police Personnel was organized by Department of Sociology and Social Work, Fatima College Maduari on 08.08.2019. Mrs. V.Sofia Adaikala Mary, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology and Social Work welcomed the gathering. Dr. M. Meenakumari, Head, Department of Sociology and Social Work Honoured the chief guests. Mrs. Lilly Grace, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Madurai, Tamil Nadu and Dr. M. Kannan, Assistant State Nodal Officer, Tamil Nadu Police Well-Being Programme, Madurai.

    In her Inaugural Address Mrs. Lilly Grace, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Madurai mentioned that this new programme was initiated for the families of Police personnel. To deal with this kind of new innovative programme, Commissioner of Police, Madurai, Tamil Nadu cordially instigate this programme named Comprehensive Development Programme for the families and Police personnel, she said. This programme includes the baseline survey by the students among the family members of Police Personnel. After, the data collected through survey, the implementation of new methods of training and strategies will be adopted for the welfare of Police Personnel and their family members she added. Also, she explained in detail on the principles to follow before, during and after the data collection by the students.

    In connection with “Anandham” Programme, Fatima College, Department of Sociology and Social Work organized the General Medical Camp and Eye Camp for Police Personnel and their family members at Police Club, Near Crime branch Police Station, Madurai.

            General Medical camp and Eye camp in collaboration with Apollo hospitals and Vasan Eye care hospitals respectively conducted by Fatima College. Department of Sociology and Social work supported by Commissioner of  Police, Madurai on 14.12.2019.
